I'm not really a beauty buff and my posts are never really beauty related unless it's me just ranting about how beautiful something is but i brought this book called "Face Value" by Gregory Landsman today and upon reading the first two pages i'm hooked. It's not really a long book by any means but it's amazing. It's basically filled with DIY secrets and recipes to fight skin problems and so forth. You know what this means? It means you don't have to spend $$$$$$$ on all those high end products because you can find everything around your house.
These are just a few recipes from the book that i found intriguing and will definitely try sometime soon:

Protein enriching moisturiser for normal to dry skin
Whilst this sounds promising, i have to admit that the thought of the smell from the egg and milk doesn't thrill me too much. haha
- Take 1 egg yolk and 1 cup milk.
- Beat egg yolk into milk to form a paste.
- Pour into a bottle and store in the refrigerator.
- Apply to the face regulary.

Banana face nourisher to counteract blemishes
- Take 1 banana, 1 cup of olive oil and 2 eggs.
- Beat egg yolks and olive oil until thoroughly mixed. Mash a ripe banana and add it to the mixture.
- Apply over the face and neck and leave for half an hour. Rinse off with cold water.
Take in mind that everyone has unique skins so be sure to perform a patch test on a small non-sensitive area of skin, such as your hand before using.
